Project

Cage Progress

Danny @RE_SpecGarage is just doing an amazing job on this cage. I cant wait to ride in the car and feel how rigid it is during events. All thats remaining is the door bars and the gussets behind the doors.

All I need after that is a seat,  some aero for the car, and we are ready to cook with fire!

Anyone know of some sponsors? :)

Spacers To the Front!

Finally put the 25mm spacers up front, Much better and clearing the coilovers now. This puts the setup at 17×10.5 (-3mm)Front & (-20mm)Rear. You can kinda tell in the pic the rear looks much better, Ill have wider rubber on the other set of wheels I have so that will close that gap and make the car look better when I raise it another inch.

I also had a chance to install the ISIS Power Steering Line, big thanks the Ken@ Enjuku Racing. Definitely wont have a problem with this blowing off compared to the ghetto one I made from universal PS rubber hose and cut up hard lines haha. The picture sucks but Ill take some better once I get the car on a lift. You can clearly see the fluid everywhere from the old line blowing up.

You can also see the cage coming along, Danny still working on getting it sized up good. Cant wait to see the end result!

Spacers installed

This puts the rear at -20

Making a tall guy short

Im a 6′4 dude so sitting in a seat and your head hitting the roof is never fun. So I’m modifying the floor panel to allow me to see lower.

Also here is a quick shot of Danny’s custom angle knuckles finally installed on his FD. This car is going to have some serious angle.

Spacers Arrived

This should give the rear that poke and then Ill be able to move the 25mm spacers that originally were on the rear to the fronts. This means a dope ass stance and no more rubbing. Ill be installing them tonight so wait for the new pics.

40mm Spacers

Shes moving again!

Finally finished up the major of everything to get it rolling. Pulled it out for the garage and instantly blew off my custom power steering line haha. So Im going to be ordering the ISIS Stainless braided power steering line from Enjuku Racing. I also found that the front coilovers are still rubbing on my wheels so Im going to end up throwing the rear 25mm spacers up front and the rear will be 30 or 40 mm spacers I will order. That should set everything flush for the widebody and look nasty.

The car is going up to RE_Spec Garage this weekend hopefully to get the cage started, then rolling up to All-Aspects to get the suspension aligned. I will finally be ready to test this thing at its first drift event!

I did a quick punch forward before putting it back in the garage and I can tell you this thing is going to have no problem getting sideways hah.

On a side note, I pick up my new tow vehicle. This winter I will grab a full car trailer and be ready for next season!

Prepping for Driftwater 7

Just a few more loose ends and the car will be ready to roll.
The to do list for tonight:
Install RUCAS
Add water for cooling system
Check valve for brake booster
Battery box install
Power steering rack and lines

Not too bad, so that’s the plan for tonight.

More Pics

And that brings it up to date..

Catching Up

Lots of updates that I havent posted. The car is pretty much complete with the acception of the new P/S rack that I need to throw on this week. But The car runs beautifully. I cant wait to get it on the track July 3rd for its first shakedown.

The vehicle

I forgot to even post what the engine us going in hah it’s a coupe with Silvia front and widebody fenders, z32 brake upgrade and Megan coilovers. Needs a kit and paint but that can definitely wait I just want to get it running. I’ll probably order the mazworx tranny adapter next weekend. Then Tony and I can fab the mount and get this car to drift nirvana on dec 6th hopefully.

Killing time

Had some time to kill before BPCU so I capped off some more unneeded piping, removed the front hard line for the valve cover venting, and put the TB back on.

Willy Wonka Golden Ticket!

_MG_0279Painted my valve covers.. bling bling

Just another update

Tony and I were working on the engines the other day. He is in the process of doing a 1UZFE swap into his S13. Sumospeed is going to be rolling deep with some V8’s here real soon haha.

The project that I am in the process of doing is dropping a VH45DE into my S13 coupe. The S13 will be converted to a street spec track car.
